"I'm not Callisto" is the story of an epic hero called Callisto who one day finds a mirror image of himself. It is implied that the mirror image of Callisto is trying to take over Callisto's life by intimidating him. Callisto, at first, believes that the mirror image is the real Callisto. He denies himself, and calls the mirror image by its name, ''Callisto''. Yet, his sharp instincts make him realize that there are two Callisto's. He then confronts the mirror image and asks it who is the Callisto standing before it. Callisto realizes that he is the one true Callisto and reinforces his argument with the final stanza, ''Because I'm Callisto''. The final stanza clarifies that he is the true Callisto and the mirror image was merely a fake, and also contradicts the earlier statement of ''I'm not Callisto''.

Synopsis

I'm not Callisto

"I'm not Callisto.
You're Callisto.
But if you're Callisto,
Then who's this Callisto right here
Because I'm Callisto."

"I'm not Callisto" is the story of an epic hero called Callisto who one day finds a mirror image of himself. It is implied that the mirror image of Callisto is trying to take over Callisto's life by intimidating him. Callisto, at first, believes that the mirror image is the real Callisto. He denies himself, and calls the mirror image by its name, Callisto. Yet, his sharp instincts make him realize that there are two Callisto's. He then confronts the mirror image and asks it who is the Callisto standing before it. Callisto realizes that he is the one true Callisto and reinforces his argument with the final stanza, Because I'm Callisto. The final stanza clarifies that he is the true Callisto and the mirror image was merely a fake, and also contradicts the earlier statement of I'm not Callisto.
