The Circle comes from the That '70s Show, which frequently depicted a circle of teenagers that smoked weed. This became a meme in Sapphire, but also due to outside (unknown) influences caused the formation of the spin-off meme, the Circlejerk. Furthermore, it is theorized that because of the context of the of the Circlejerk meme, along with some other influences, caused the DIK meme to appear.
