This infobox should only be applied to terminology that is verifiable as being in common use by a reliable source that passes Wikipedia Notability guidelines. It should not be used for terminology that exists purely in fiction, or that is unstable in common use and lacks a clear definition (no neologisms). This infobox does not exist to assert the factuality of that which it describes, or its acceptance in science, it should only be used to provide clear definition of a terms meaning, history, and the scope/limitations under which the terminology can be applied.

Guidance

  1. Image_Name: The name of an image only
  2. Image_Caption: A suitable caption
  3. Usage: Two options only (important): Terminology or Phenomena
  4. Name: The term being described or the name of the phenomena
  5. Origin: The individual or organization that created the term or named the phenomena
  6. Short: The initials or short form of the term/phenomena
  7. Additional_Names: Other names (avoid slang), usually reserved for superseded or names
  8. Definition: A PURE DICTIONARY DEFINITION. Avoid attributions and all words such as alleged, purported, so-called, etc. This is a definition of the word, not a judgment on the validity of what it is describing
  9. Characteristics: The basic characteristics of what is being described on the page
  10. Extra_Title: A custom name for a user-defined section
  11. Extra_Column: A blank section where anything of relevance can be added (a media sample, for example)
  12. See_Also: A "see also" section, should be more specific than the one at the bottom of the page
